A fresh look for u3a
Sevenoaks U3A have created a Calendar for 2021,they are looking to collect all orders by 14 November to give the printer time to get them out well before Christmas, especially as some people want to send copies to their family and friends.
It was decided not to produce a handbook this year, the base point is the 2019/20 Handbook and this has been updated and appears in the journal as “Current Handbook – rolling update”.

With Government Covid guidelines becoming slightly less draconian, I am considering restarting my series of bridge lessons.
It was the writer L.P. Hartley who once said “the past is another country – they do things differently there” and I think that many of us will have seen the truth of this when we think back to the beginning of the year which now seems truly a foreign land. It was then that the Journal reminded us that 2020 marked the 20th Anniversary of Tonbridge U3A and we looked forward to discussing at our regular meetings what our contribution might be, blissfully unaware of the life-changing forces gathering strength on distant shores.
When we eventually get back to some form of normality we will do our best to get some outings booked. Those that had to be cancelled will be discussed by the Travel Team at our first meeting. Next year’s programme will be liable to change, so read the Journal to keep up with any new plans that appear.
