Coastal Walks

Interest Group Information:

For those who like a moderate ramble by the sea along a stretch of coast for say 6-9 miles hugging the coastline where possible. Walks average 5-7 miles and take place generally in Kent or Sussex.

Coastal Walks 1 –  We meet on the 2nd Tuesday of May, June, July, August & September.
Coastal Walks 2 –  We meet on the 4th Friday of May, June, July, August & September.

Our newly formed Coastal Walks 2 group had its inaugural walk on 22 June, Herne Bay to Whitstable. The weather was fine and ten intrepid members had a great day getting to know each other.

Coastal Walks 1

For those who like a moderate ramble by the Sea. Walks average 5-7 miles and take place generally in Kent or Sussex. We meet five times a year. Taking a packed lunch, we car share to the coast, then get public transport to the beginning of the walk and follow the coastline back to the car with a couple of rest stops on the way.

Due to the popularity of Group 1 a new group has been formed.

For those who like a moderate ramble by the sea. Walks average 5-7 miles and take place in Kent, Sussex or parts of Essex.

We meet five times a year on the fourth Friday of May, June, July, August and September. Taking a packed lunch, we car share to the coast, then take public transport to the beginning of the walk and follow the coastline back to the car, with a couple of rest stops on the way.
