Subject Information:

iPad Group

As the iPad group did not have a single query during lockdown, it is
assumed that the group has possibly run its course. Therefore unless I
hear to the contrary it will no longer meet on a regular basis. However,
should anyone require assistance I would be happy to arrange a meeting.
If you are interested in joining this group please email groups.u3aton@gmail.com

iPad Group Report and Photo

Heads in the cloud.

Our iPad user group meets to help each other get to grips with and to use these things that the younger generations take for granted. A question frequently asked at the group involved the iCloud. What is it? What does it do? When someone offered their knowledgeable son we booked him up straight away.

Mark Crichton came along to the group and very quickly gave us an easy to understand potted history of the internet and how this has led to the iCloud. And who knew? There is more than one cloud! And would you believe it, some of us have been using them already! Armed with this new information we are all in a better position to be able to decide if we need to pay for cloud services or if we can get away with the free ones. But now we know what to look for and the questions to ask.

There were so many other questions that Mark had to field which he was happy to answer, including tips on internet banking, passwords and generally keeping your data safe.

We are grateful to Mark for solving this mystery for us and allowing us to walk away with our heads in the cloud!
